Stationery Distribution Program to celebrate 2nd Anniversary

We are proud to announce that we organized a Stationery Distribution Programme on the auspicious occasion of the second anniversary of our establishment, that is, November 2, 2014. The news has been featured in the local newspaper, Kayakairan daily. The screenshots of the newspaper were shared in the previous post.

The program was organized in Shree Ram Janaki Balika Ashram, Devghat in the Chairmanship of Association's President, Mr. Bikal Ghimire. The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Kusum Giri, who is also the advisor of SAAB.

ANNOUNCEMENT

It gives us immense pleasure to announce that we are going to conduct a Stationery Distribution Program on the auspicious Occasion of the Second Anniversary of SOS HGS Alumni Association, Bharatpur (SAAB), on 2nd November 2014, in Balika Ashram, Devghat.

Deusi Bhailo and Rangoli Competition was organised in SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Bharatpur on October 22, 2014, and we the alumni were also planning to play deusi and bhailo for fun. However, Dikshit Babu Nepal, one of the Vice Presidents, had one idea in his mind apart from having fun.

Tug-of-War Competition for Girls

While we organized Football for boys, it would be unfair to do nothing for girls. Therefore, we decided to conduct tug-of-war competition for girls.

SOS HGS Alumni Football Cup 2071

In order to foster interaction between the alumni and the students of SOS HGS, Bharatpur, we have been organizing Football Tournament from our inception. This year, a total of six teams registered for the competition, out of which 3 teams were from the alumni students and 3 teams were from the current students. Class 10, the youngest one among the teams grabbed the victory over all other teams.

Project Library - Book Collection

We initiated a library project a couple of months ago, in which we aim to establish a library in a remote school so that the children studying in the school will benefit. The project is slowly and gradually progressing in terms of book collection, fund collection for buying furniture and other expenses, locating a needy (deserving) school, and so on. Now, if things go well, we expect to complete it within a couple of weeks.
